08-11-11 Meeting

The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting. There were 20 members present and the raffle raised £34 thank you to all who donated and please keep up the good work as it pays for the room. Tree of the month was won by Alan Edge with Chinese juniper.

The theme for the night was ‘Winter Preparation’ and our chairman Ray talked about things we need to do now to prepare our trees for the winter and there was a general discussion between the members sharing tips and experiences.

We had a discussion about the banner we would like to buy and there were quite a few ideas which need to put together and we will get a preview draft before the final decision is made.

There was a list of food for the Xmas supper after the AGM on the 13^th Dec so if you haven’t put your name down but you will be attending the meeting and would like to contribute to our ‘Jacobs Join’ please let me know and I will tell you what we are short of.

The next meeting is on Monday the 21^st Nov and is an extra meeting for any trees which need help or advice or as Ray said he does a lot of his wiring at this time of the year, the meeting will take place in the small room.
